Ingredients 1 tin red kidney beans 5 pints water 1lb (450g) kale, chopped 6 medium size potatoes, cubed 2 fresh tomatoes, cut into quarters 1 onion, whole 8oz (225g) linguica, cut into 1/2 inch slices 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tbsp salt of taste 1 tsp pepper, coarsley ground 1 tbsp fennel (tuncho), chopped Method Strain beans through food mill and add to water. Place in a 4 to 6 quart pan and bring to a boil. Chop kale into small pieces and add to water.
