Recipe for Portuguese Kale And Red Pepper Soup Recipe

Ingredients

2 tsp crushed red pepper

2 tsp salt

1lb (450g) linguica

1 medium onion

2 bunches kale

6 potatoes, diced

1 cabbage, shredded

3 tins kidney beans, drained

Method

Place linguica in a pot.

If you have a shank bone or some beef you may add that.

Add red pepper, onion and salt.

Cover with water.

Bring to a boil, simmer 30 minutes.

Add kale, cabbage and beans.

Cook 15 minutes then add potatoes.

Cook 30 minutes more.

Season to taste.

Serves 6.
