Ingredients

3lb (1.35kg) pot roast

3 cups red wine

3 cups water

1 cup smoked pork fat or bacon

2 medium onions

12 garlic cloves

4 whole cloves

1/2 tbsp peppercorns

Method

Chop meat into 4 or 5 pieces in large cooking pan.

Chop onions, garlic and pork fat.

Combine all ingredients together in pan all at the same time.

Cook for 60 minutes or until meat is fully cooked.

Reduce heat when boiling.
