Malasadas Portuguese Doughnuts Recipe
Ingredients 1 pkt active dry yeast 1 tsp sugar 1/4 cup warm water 6 eggs 6 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup butter, melted 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 cup evaporated milk 1 cup water 1 tsp salt Deep oil for frying Method Dissolve yeast and one tsp of sugar in warm water. Beat eggs until thick. Measure flour into a large bowl, make a well in the center. Add yeast, eggs and remaining ingredients, beat well to form a soft smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place until doubled in volume. Turn dough and leave to rise again. Heat deep oil to 375 degrees. Drop teasoons of dough gently into oil and fry until browned.
