Portuguese Portugese Sweet Bread 25 Recipe
Ingredients 6 eggs 1 1/2 cup sugar 3 pkt yeast, dissolved in warm water 1 tsp salt 1 tsp oil 2lb (900g) flour 1/2 cup butter 1 cup evaporated milk combined with 1 c. water Method In a large bowl mix the flour, salt, butter and oil. Add sugar, then the eggs and then the yeast. Gradually add milk combined with water. Mix, knead, form into loaves. Leave to rise until doubled in volume. Bake at 275 degrees for approx. 1 hour.
