Mexican Pork With Rice Recipe
Ingredients 1 lb. fresh pork, cut into thin slices 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 c. water 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano 3 c. hot cooked rice 1 c. chopped onions 6 oz. tomato paste 15 oz. (1 can) pinto beans 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder Method In a large skillet, brown pork in oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic powder; saute lightly. Stir in tomato paste and water. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Add beans and seasoning and simmer for 15 minutes longer. Serve over fluffy white rice. Cooks Comments and Tips . |
