Italian Pizza Bread Dough Recipe
Ingredients 1lb Plain Flour 1 tablespoon Dry Active Yeast 1 teaspoon Sugar 1 tablespoon Olive Oil 100mls Milk 200mls Water Salt Method Mix the yeast with the sugar and 100mls of warm water, and leave for 10 minutes. In a separate basin mix the flour with a pinch of salt. Mix the rest of the water with the milk. Pour the yeast mixture and oil into the flour and gradually add the mixed milk and water. Mix using a knife at first and then your hands until the dough comes together. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead well, then place in a large basin, cover and leave in a warm place to rise. The dough should double in size. This can take 1-2 hours. Uncover the dough and punch out the air . Tip out on to a floured surface and cut in half and shape into balls. The dough is now ready to be rolled for your pizzas. Cooks Comments and Tips When making the pizza dough you can cut the amount of rising time by warming your flour for 10 seconds in the microwave. This pizza bread dough will make two medium sized pizzas or four small. |
