French Gratin Of Potatoes Gratin Dauphinois Recipe
Ingredients 8 medium Potatoes 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp White pepper 1 pinch Grated nutmeg 1 cup Scalded milk 1 cup Light cream 1 Egg, beaten 1/4 cup Swiss cheese, grated Method Peel potatoes and cut into slices approximately 1/4-inch thick. In a bowl, combine potatoes, salt, pepper, nutmeg, milk, cream, egg, and grated cheese. Turn mixture into a buttered baking dish. Dot with butter.
