Recipe for French Tournedos With Cream Recipe

Ingredients

8 Tournedos, sauteed in butter

8 thin slices French bread, lightly toasted

1/8 cup Port wine

1/8 cup Stock

1/2 cup Mushrooms, chopped

1/2 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Freshly ground pepper

1/4 cup Sour cream

Method

Saute the tournedos in heated butter over brisk heat for 4 to 5 minutes each side.

Season with salt and pepper.

Arrange slices of lightly toasted bread on heated serving dish.

Place one tournedos on each slice of bread.

Keep warm.

Using the pan the tournedos were cooked in, add wine and cook, scraping the bottom of pan until brown crust is dissolved.

Add stock and mushrooms.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Add cream and cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour cream sauce over tournedos.

Serve with fries.

Place a slice of pate on each tournedos before adding the mushroom (optional).
