French Mussels Mariniere Recipe
Ingredients 4 pints Mussels 1/4 tsp Pepper 2 tbsp Chopped parsley 1 pinch Thyme 1 tbsp shallots, finely chopped 1 cup Dry white wine 1 tbsp Beurre Manie *see below Method * Recipe for "Beurre Manie" can be found in our Sauces Section Wash and scrub mussels. Place mussels in large saucepan. Add pepper, 1 tbsp parsley, thyme, shallots and wine. Bring to boil and continue simmering for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the mussel shells open. Discard top shell and keep mussels warm in heated serving dish. Bring cooking liquid to boil in pan and continue boiling for 5 minutes. Add Beurre Manie. adjust seasoning. Add remaining parsley. Cook for 3 minutes, or until sauce thickens. Pour over mussels. Serve hot. Cooks Comments and Tips . |
