Recipe for French Lobster Diable Recipe

Ingredients

2 Live lobsters

1 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Freshly ground pepper

4oz (113g) Butter, melted

1 tbsp Dijon-style mustard

1/4 cup Breadcrumbs, fresh

2 tbsp Butter

Method

Place lobsters head first into pan of boiling salted water.

Cover and boil for 5 minutes.

Drain and cool lobsters.

Lay it on its back and use a strong, very sharp, knife to cut it in half from tail to head.

You will see the stomach bag at the back of the head and the blackish gut running the length of the body. Remove these and discard.

Arrange lobsters cut side up, on baking sheet.

Season with salt and pepper.

Combine melted butter with mustard.

Pour butter mixture over lobsters.

Cover with bread crumbs.

Dot with butter.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
