Recipe for French Spiced Cake Pain Depices Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups Flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp Baking soda

1 cup Milk

1 tsp Anisette

1 tsp Rum

1 tsp Ground cinnamon

2 tbsp Liquid honey

1/2 cup Blanched almonds

Method

In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, milk, anisette, rum, and cinnamon.

Work with wooden spoon until smooth.

Cover and let stand overnight at room temperature.

When ready to cook, stir in honey and almonds.

Turn dough into greased loaf tin.

Cover with tin foil.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for 45 minutes.

Remove from the mold whilst hot.
