French Cream Puffs Recipe

Recipe for French Cream Puffs Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Water

1/2 cup Butter, cut in small pieces

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp sugar

1 cup Sifted flour

5 Eggs

Method

In heavy saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar.

Bring to boil.

Remove pan from heat and add flour at once.

Stir briskly with a wooden spoon until dough is smooth.

Return pan to heat and cook, stirring constantly, until dough leaves the sides of the pan and forms a ball.

Remove pan from heat and add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each one has been added.

Spoon onto a greased baking tray and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes until puffs are dry and golden.

Leave to cool on a wire rack.

Cut the puffs in half and fill with whipped cream or ice cream.
