Egyptian Fava Beans Recipe
Ingredients 2 Large tins Fava Beans 3 tablespoons olive oil 3 large onions, chopped 5 cloves garlic, crushed 2 tblspoons hot red pepper flakes 1/4 cup tomato sauce 3/4 cup hot water 3 tblspoons Parsley, chopped salt and pepper 2 tablepoons Paprika Method Heat oil in a large saucepan and sauter the onions and garlic until golden colour. Stir in remaining ingredients except the beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes (sauce should have some liquid to it, if not add a little for water). Gently stir in the fava beans and let stand for a few minutes so the beans absorb some of the flavor from the sauce. Cooks Comments and Tips . |
